Ribs were dry rubbed and left in the frige overnite. Dry rub is a mix of Emerials original, brown sugar, Viet. Cinn. and a secret.
Got too excited and let the fire get too hot and have to calm it down before I can start.

I dropped $300 at a 3/6 LHE table last Friday night. I'd like to say that I was drunk and had a blast. I was sober and getting my heart ripped out. For all but about an hour of that session I played pretty well. This my friends was the fickle finger of the poker gods reaching down to smite me.
The first hand of the evening was a harbinger of things to come. I flopped top pair top kicker and proceeded to get beat by 92o that went Lewis-Wilbanks for two pair. I can take that. Its really a sign that the table is in my favor. Bad luck, but proof that the table is going to be profitable. All told in the evening I was beaten runner-runner 9 times. Yes Mrs. Bueller, nine times. I had JJ(2) QQ, KK(2) and AA cracked. Plus the Q4 mentioned above and a couple of other hands where I had marginal starting hands but out flopped the competition only to take a kick square in the junk. Lemurs. There were the regular straight up beats too. I flopped TPTK, flush drawing maniac catches a flush draw, I turn trips and she rivers the flush.
Get a seat change.
Get a table change.
I did none of these. Next time I will.
Don't look for me to take up long term residence in the 10 seat again anytime soon. Unless the table LAG is in the 9, then I'll think about it.
Now, my moment of Zen.

Still this is akin to giving a humanitarian award to John Wayne Gacy for advances in population control. Also, talk about offending your base. Without east coast liberals WashU wouldn't have much of a base to draw students from.
As an alumnus of WashU I am deeply disappointed that the university has seen fit to lend credence to her wrong minded, hateful speech. I hope that the graduating class chooses to stand and turn their backs on her as she receives her award. I hope the grads make a mockery of ceremony.
The university is doing a great disservice to its graduating class by turning the spotlight on a bigoted old fool instead of highlighting the great accomplishment of the class of 2008. Having a controversial guest at graduating will ruin the experience for many families and leave a bad taste in their mouths.
Here is a note that was forwarded to me that I took a few editorial liberties with....
Washington University (the good one, in St. Louis) is planning to bestow its highest
honor, an honorary degree, on Phyllis Schlafly at commencement this
week. There have been strong objections raised to this by students,
faculty, staff, alumni, and the families of graduates. While those
objecting believe she is entitled to free speech and would be welcomed
to speak on the campus in that spirit, they are concerned that her
actively promoted beliefs are offensive and injurious to women and
minorities (among others), are strongly and openly anti-intellectual,
and are inconsistent with the values of our campus. (A brief sampling of
her views, collected by Hilltop colleagues, is below.)
Several letters to the Chancellor and Board of Trustees objecting to
conferring this degree (from both men and women faculty and students)
are posted at http://www.artsci.wustl.edu/~awf/schlafly-protest.html.
<http://www.artsci.wustl.edu/%7Eawf/schlafly-protest.html> Contact the Chancellor
or Board of Trustees with your views directly. While support of this
kind may not alter the awarding of this degree, the level of faculty
involvement may inform future discussion of such awards.
Criticism Of Evolution Can't Be Silenced (August 16, 2006)
Liberals see the political value to teaching evolution in school, as it
makes teachers and children think they are no more special than animals.
Childhood joy and ambition can turn into depression as children learn to
reject that they were created in the image of God.
Although the liberals spent a lot of money to defeat members of the
Kansas school board members on August 1, they are finding it more and
more difficult to prop up Darwinism by the censorship of criticism. The
polite word for the failure of Darwinism to prove its case is gaps in
the theory, but Ann Coulter's book shows that dishonesty and hypocrisy
are more accurate descriptions.
Evolutionists are too emotionally committed to face up to the failure of
evidence to support their faith, but they are smart enough to know that
they lose whenever debate is allowed, which is why they refused the
invitation to present their case at a public hearing in Kansas. But this
is America, and 90 percent of the public will not remain silenced.
*TORT REFORM AND VACCINATION:*
*Phyllis Schlafly:* Tort reform is badly needed. The awards are
outrageous, especially asbestos and tobacco. Meanwhile, the people who
really need such awards, the kids damaged by vaccines, can't get money
damages (2001). In a January 16, 2008 article she came out again against
required child vaccination programs.
Congress should terminate funding for the Violence Against Women Act - a
hate-men law that throws husbands and fathers out of their homes and
deprives them of their children after a very ordinary squabble
masquerading as domestic violence.
Violence Against Women Act money is used by anti-male feminists to train
judges, prosecutors and police in the feminist myths that domestic
violence is a contagious epidemic, and that men are naturally batterers
and women are naturally victims. Feminists lobby state legislators to
pass must-arrest and must-prosecute laws even when police don't observe
any crime and can't produce a witness to testify about an alleged crime.

*BIRTH CONTROL *(Eagle Forum column)
"It's very healthy for a young girl to be deterred from promiscuity by
fear of contracting a painful, incurable disease, or cervical cancer, or
sterility, or the likelihood of giving birth to a dead, blind, or
brain-damaged baby (even 10 years later when she may be happily married)."
Many professors are Marxists or other varieties of radicals that hate
America (April 2005)
"Many years ago Christian pioneers had to fight savage Indians. Today
missionaries of these former cultures are being sent via the public
schools to heathenize our children."/ (Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum);/
*ENGLISH MAJORS:* Schlafly article ""Advice to College Students: Don't
Major in English",
in which she states: " it was no surprise that Cho Seung-Hui, the
murderer of 32 students and teachers at Virginia Tech, was an English
*HOMOSEXUALITY* (from forum in 2003):
... same-sex relationships are neither exclusive nor permanent...If
personal desire is to become the only criterion for public recognition
of marriage, if equal rights and nondiscrimination require us to be
neutral about who is eligible for marriage, how then can we deny
marriage to those who want to marry a child, or a sibling, or more than
one wife? All those practices are common in some other countries.
*SOCIAL SERVICES AND CHILDREN *(Oct. 1995):
The key to catching most or all schoolchildren in the social-service
web, whether their families request or want such services or not, is the
categorization of children as "at risk," a magic phrase used to
authorize the state to do whatever it wants with children.
The rapidly spreading Parents As Teachers program brings infants and
preschool children under government control by sending government agents
into private homes to tell parents how to raise their children.
"Congress should repeal and/or defund all federal laws that have
anything to do with curriculum, standards, or provision of social
services in the schools. State legislatures should repeal and/or defund
all legislation that has anything to do with changing schools into
social welfare agencies or community service organizations. "
*HARVARD** UNIVERSITY** PRESIDENT LARRY SUMMERS' REMARKS:* "The outburst
by feminist professors simply confirms the stereotype ... that they are
too emotional to handle intellectual or scientific debate."
